Seven last words: a Lenten concert

March 29 is a chance to hear beautiful music for the season of Lent.

This Spring Musikay has assembled a fantastic team of singers with beautiful voices to offer a program Lenten inspired music. Led by Maestro Stephane Potvin the ensemble is singing the beautiful and inspirational Mass for four voices and Ave verum corpus by Williams Byrd, Alma Redemptoris Mater by Johannes Ockeghem, Miserere by Joseph Rheinberger, Les sept paroles de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ sur la croix by Charles Gounod, along with the haunting Stabat Mater Gregorian chant.

Benefiting from the intimate setting of Saint John the Evangelist (Rock on Locke), the music and voices resonate in a warm acoustic. The wooden structure of the building bring the music to life in ways that the composer probably imagined.

Tickets are available at the door and online:
