Position description
Research music availability, order, and prepare material for upcoming season • Research and hire talented performers for the concerts, arrange for performance locations, and prepare marketing material.

Learn and apply fundraising strategies online and in person. Research and help write grant applications.

Inventory and catalogue the music collection and input information in database.

Update patrons’ and performers’ information in databases

Organize current and archival documents • Other related tasks as needed

Skills requested
Formal music training, database management, website management, music notation software, and basic graphic design for promotional material.

The student will learn to work in Finale (music notation), Photoshop (image manipulation), Illustrator (vector graphics), InDesign (graphic design) WordPress (website management), 4D (database), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

Given the current pandemic, the vast majority of the work can be done remotely with regular online meetings and communication.

The interested student must be able to self-regulate and be able to work independently.
