Paula Thomas (soprano) holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from McMaster University, and a Master of Music in Literature and Performance (Voice) from Western University. She has studied under the tutelage of Richard Cunningham, Lesley Andrew, and Torin Chiles. She has performed the roles of La novizia and Suor Osmina in Puccini’s Suor Angelica with Accademia Europea dell’Opera (Lucca, Italy), and First Woman in Arcady’s production of Ronald Beckett’s musical drama Ruth (Cambridge). She performs as a soloist and ensemble member with various choirs including Chor Amica (London), Choral Connection (St. Thomas), and Arcady (Brantford). She was selected as an Arcady Emerging Artist in 2012, and continues to work as an event coordinator on staff. At Metropolitan United Church (London), Paula sings in the senior choir and is the music leader at the Water’s Edge service. Following her passion for music education, she has joined the staff at Preschool of the Arts (London) leading preschool music programs and Family Tree Music classes. Paula enjoys providing music for weddings, and performing at long-term-care facilities. She owns a growing music studio in her hometown of St. Thomas.
