Sam Hogeterp, bass

hogeterp_sam_photoSam cannot boast of having a host of music degrees but he has an insatiable love for choral music. At a very young age he had an ear for harmony, singing alto to most of the hymns in church. He joined the Bach Elgar Choir in 1971 the first work being Elgar’s “Dream of Gerontius“ featuring the great English Tenor, Richard Lewis. Since then he has sung with the John Laing Singers, the Brott Festival Choir, Opera Hamilton, Central Presbyterian Church Choir, Ensemble Lyrica, Villanella, and has the privilege of singing under the direction of his dear wife, Jessie-Ann in her church choir. He deems it a great honor to be invited to sing this wonderful rendition of Handel’s Messiah with Musikay and Maestro Potvin.

Meet Sam next Saturday at 19:30.
