In ten days we celebrate Musikay’s tenth birthday with God, Mankind, and Love
To celebrate our tenth year, we open our season with a program of choral and instrumental French music. Several gems encompassing the theme of God, Mankind, and Love in its many forms. The concert is a spectacle for the both ears and eyes. The atmosphere is intimate, the texts profound, and the music exuberant.
Join us on October 24 at 7:30 and experience why the French are the masters of love. Enjoy familiar pieces like Belle qui tient ma vie by Thoinot Arbeau, or La, la, la, je ne l’ose by Pierre Certon and discover the beauty of Mille regretz by Josquin Desprez and many more musical treasures.
The program, entitled Dieu, L’Homme, l’Amour (God, Man, Love), is a celebration of the French culture with music in French or by French composers. The pieces all relate to the theme of Love; from love of God, romantic love, and even physical love.
At 6:30 p.m. everyone is invited to our chat and tea for a discussion on the music and program at hand. It is a time to share and exchange thoughts on music and love; a time to ask questions and have fun.
Purchase your ticket today to benefit from a $5 discount (prices go up to regulars prices on Saturday).
